Well, it does depend by region.
Argentineans use" la concha" or "la concha de la lora". Nevertheless, Argentina has pretty much it's own slang (even in regular Spanish; for instance, any latinoamericanos will read "Yes" in Spanish basically the same way as in English, but in Argentina it'll be "Chess").
"Puta" is still "Bitch", but it isn't used in the same way, either.
"Chingar" is Mexican. "Puta" is, I believe, used like "fuck" in 90% of latinoamerica. "Joder" is like @Setzer says; kinda like "fuck around".
For Central America, "Puta Madre" is also somewhat like "Damn fuck".
Spanish slang is varied, but it makes sense: different countries with different cultures.
