I'd like to add that they should reconsider. Opening the app just for leveling a mon is burdensome, and makes no monetary sense.
For instance, I'm extremely reluctant to buy the other two TZ just because it will annoy me. A good design will entice you, not push you away or even make you think "well, this is the cost"- and this for mons that are going to end in the food grinder...
I understand the idea must be around us opening the app more, but this is suboptimal.
Just to give a good example of a current, good design: The Wheel. The Wheel is awesome. The notification pops up and I'm happy to enter the app to see what I'll get.
I bet most players will feel the same way comparing both things (especially considering the most casual players, to whom a free green GSP, for example, will have way more weight)
